write and record a song

I’ve done this before but I still have this goal as I haven’t done the whole production in some time and desire to explore more musical possibilities. I’ll post a link if I can, I’m mainly interested in having a benchmark to get back in gear though. Don’t be too hard on yourself when writing, let it out before shaping.

An experimental rock sound inspired by Primus.

...have written several guitar and bass riffs…but need a decent drum track and lyrics / vocals…er…some way to go then…see you in a year or so!!

I had to write and record a song for school… it was an assignment, and it was cool. I made the beat in FLstudio [google it for demo] and played around till id written a bass riff and it all came from that… all it needs now is a solo

And had fun doing it!!

I’ve got a small handful of written and half-written songs, some of them worth performing. I’ve been going to open mics.

I haven’t been paying much attention to 43things lately, other than to occasionally list a few books I’ve read. I decided to peruse throug my goals and see what I might have inadvertently accomplished. I’ve written a hanful of songs, but have yet to record a single one for lack of equipment. I’ve been promised access to a rudimentary recording studio, and possibly a student sound engineer. If that falls through, I know of another place where I could at least use a digital 8-track. ITshould be interesting to have my musical musings incarnated as recorded material.
