quit cussing

I have a 2 n a half yr. old son and I know what I say he is bound to repeat. However, those words just seem to …come out! I don’t want to I do it then realize. I guess its the whole talk before you think thing and not the other way around. You know what I mean ???

Just for the record, I can’t think of the last time I said a 3 letter word (my boss thinks that the word hell has 1 L, therefore making it a 3 letter word as opposed to 4; which strikes me as funny because I work for a non-profit church organization and 90% of our history is built upon heaven & hell – he of all people should know!!!).

Cussing is purely habit, inspired by circumstance…and is apparently something I can rise above; and although I will be put to the test in these next 4 weeks, I’m determined…

to anyone that i somehow offended with my last post. I was informed today that it makes me look like i think i’m better than anyone that does curse. This however, is just not true. Yes, I’m proud of myself for not cursing. I’m proud of the people that don’t curse, and i’m proud of the people that even want to change. But I’m also proud of people that excersize regularly (something i’ve never been able to do), people that recycle, people who hold the doors open for stangers. I’m proud of anyone who, by conviction or love, chooses to make the world even the tiniest bit better by what they say and do.
I’m sorry if you somehow thought my heart was in the wrong place. I assure you, it was not.

its sooooo hard…i got kids!! my 6 year old made me feel like a moron when she repeated the crap fallin outta my mouth in public…BAD MOM! :0( i am making a reminder to myself for this one everyday…

I never really started cussing. I think it’s worth it because even though its hard sometimes a lot of people respect me more for it. And I respect myself more too.

I cuss so much.. it’s so spontaneous.. I don’t even realize how much I do it until someone comments on it. I’m going to try to stop, it’s going to be very difficult though.

Cussing is so horrible coming out of anyone’s mouth, but from a woman it just doesn’t seem right. I don’t cuss all the time or in general, but when I get very excited or mad, it will slip out. I can’t lie about that. I have more self control than that and I am definitely going to cut down to a minimum. I don’t want Vanessa to pick up this bad habit and I don’t want her to witness it and I don’t think it’s fair that daddy has to either!

Does anyone have or had this prob that can give some good advise on how to stop..I cuss like a sailor and I want to quit, it’s just the hardest thing in the world for me.

I didnt do so good yesterday! Nebraska is not known for it’s lakes, especially in a drought. So we make do with what we have. Ashley, my daughter, and I went jetskiing yesterday at a lake in Fremont. It is shaped like a roller rink…there is an island in the middle. The traffic is even delegated to go one way. Well, these people in boats who pull kids on tubes will slalom the tube back and forth in the WHOLE channel as if they own the lake (state park) THEY SHOULD STOP SLALOMING WHEN SOMEONE WANTS TO PASS. It’s like a friggin game of Donkey Kong. You wait while they are to one side and zoom by the other and they shoot you a hostile look for daring to drive by them. FUCKERS!!!! They do not delegate the speed of the whole fucking lake. It’s just rude. Ashley and I had an idea to get in front of them and go really slow and see how they like it. But I decided that is no way to handle a problem. I’ll ask the DNR (water cop) what the appropriate way to handle is. There. I vented. I am failing my goal. But I feel better. Time to start anew. No more f word today.
