How I did it: I was already vegan and eating a high percentage raw when I decided to go raw for a "test period". So the switch was not so difficult for me. Going raw for 10 days was more about seeing how I could cope with social situations as well as giving me a big kick in the butt to try out new recipes!I had a potluck Easter dinner and two meals out with friends during this time. I was 2 for 3 with keeping to the raw vegan regimen for those meal… Read how I did it…

It’s going to be hard to go on a raw food diet when I’m living with a lean mean meat-eating machine that is the boyfriend, so I’m going to start by drinking fresh smoothies every day which I love.
so I’m starting a raw food diet today. I’m trying to eat as close as 100% raw as possible. It might be more in the 80% to 90% range. the biggest goal here is to Eliminate, dairy, yeast, gluten and wheat out of my diet. me and my husband have been trying to conceive now for about 5 months and have had no luck. I’m also an acne suffer and am trying to just cleanse my body.
Having the vegetable juice really threw off my blood sugar so I am learning about how to eat for diabetes(my mom has it) and then I’m going to try to mix that with the raw food diet as much as possible.
I just bought a bunch of fruit and veggies, it was the first time thats all I’ve bought at the store. I’m excited to start eating better!
I also discovered today that I like fresh strawberries, not just in smoothies.
I’m going to do some research for a week or so while gradually increasing how much raw food I eat. My goal is to eat at least 80% raw for a month and see how it makes me feel. So right now I’m in research mode. I’m also going to try to eat one completely raw meal per day for the next week.
went to an awesome raw food convention in nyc where i bought a cook book. to motivate myself i’ve been making yummy raw dishes, the first of which were raw cupcakes (i figured that if i was going to embark on this goal, i had to cover the sweet stuff first). so far, i’ve made raw spaghetti, curry and tacos…. all delicious…
Im currently about 75% raw… goal is to be at 80% by the end of the summer, or at least stop eating so much refined sugars….
I’ve been reading a few raw food cookbooks and blogs to learn more about the techniques and tools necessary to be a successful raw foodist. I read that a good way to start transitioning to a raw food diet by making one meal of your day a raw food meal. I’ve been successful with most of my breakfasts and a few lunches in the last few weeks. I’m ultimately trying to move up to 2 meals a day and eventually every meal but it’s hard with 2 small children who have no interest in a raw food diet. I’ve been sprouting, juicing and dehydrating foods to make raw food recipes and it’s been so educational to learn about a whole new level of eating. I definitely notice a difference in my energy level when I eat raw foods and I feel better eating more fresh fruits and vegetables.
