Fishing reminds me of spending the day with my dad. We would go a fish and see dolphins. even if we didnt catch ANYthing it was still nice to spend time with him. My dad would say a bad days finsing is better than a good days work. :)

There is something called a bloodworm (or sandworm) I think that has “teeth” (think Dune). They are pretty scary looking and I don’t know if they’ hurt if I were to get bitten, but I don’t want to risk it.
I love fishing though. It’s so relaxing.

I bought fake bait. I thought it was a good compromise. I didn’t have to deal with worm guts, but I didn’t have to ask someone else to help me. Until I caught the fish. Then I still ask someone to take it off the hook for me. And since I don’t eat fish, they can keep it and clean it if they want, otherwise throw it back.

okay that was macabre… and really i used skrimps yes skrimps… just ever so much more fun to say than shrimp. really try saying it then bait your hook with em and sing ‘skrimps’ as you do… it may make great video footage for when they want to put you in the home…

I still refuse to take the fish off the hook. Someone else will still have to do that for me. But I think I might be able to work up to putting a worm on the hook. I just hate the wiggling, and hate the guts squirting out and getting all over my fingers. Fishing would be so much more enjoyable if it were a nice clean sport.
I don’t know why I like fishing. It’s decidedly uncharacteristic for me. I just end up throwing the fish back anyway. (That is, having someone else throw the fish back in for me.) Maybe it’s the challenge. I’ve been told on occasion that I’m a bit competitive…
Me against the fish. Usually the fish win. One time I went through about a dozen worms before I wisely decided to stop feeding the fish.
