I have always got up right when the alarm rings. Not one of my downfalls. I would suggest going right to the shower right after alarm rings or just have a goal when you wake up. When you wake up achieve the goal that you set for yourself.. Smile and be happy that you woke up to another beautiful day:)

Why is it that I wake up early, yet refreshed and alert, on the weekends, but during the week I have to drag myself across the room and slump over the alarm clock to switch it off?

Like this one would ever happen…dream on hun. Literally.
By the way, I’m pretty bored, hence the bizarre entries. I probably should be doing some sort of homework but oooh!! Damn I have to do my personal statement, better run
I think I’m at the point where I can do this, and that’s a nice change. I usually choose not to utilize this talent, but that’s no reason to leave this marked as undone. :\
I like waking up thinking positive about the day, instead of starting off wanting to kill.
For one thing, it’s a lot easier to wake up, when you are in REM… I found out the best awake time, from when I got to bed, and I adjust me alarm for that.
I don’t know about “bounce”, but I’m at least up.
I cheat though: My alarm plays the radio at t0, then the buzzer at t1, which is the time I’d like to wake up. I attempt to bounce at t1, since that’s the first “ring”.
I’m enjoying the extra time in the morning, and t1 keeps moving later and later because I know I’ll get up. That means I get more sleep. That makes it easier to get up. Nice.

I have done this, I can do this, I often choose not to…
it’s a nice idea and even if I don’t do it in practice every day, just being conscious of it has made me more awake to life in general, I think.
The extent of the bounce is all dependent on getting to bed early anyway!!

But I don’t like it much! I can totally do this when I want, but it doesn’t necessarily make me more productive – sometimes the extra 18 minutes I get from two snoozes are what I need to set me straight of a morning. This goal is much easier when I get to bed “on time”, whenever that is…
Weirdly though this week I’ve woken up twice before my alarm went off… what is going on there?
I’m not doing so hot on this one. every evening I say, I’m gonna get up and get at least one thing done that I don’t usually do in my hurry to get out the door. Read scriptures, fold (or even just START) a load of laundry, make a good breakfast…and then I stay in bed til I have 20 minutes before it’s time to be in my car on the way to work. UGH. I am stumped on this one.
Actually, my thought is to buy a CD alarm clock and play soft music or an envigorating meditation cd and see if that helps, but I haven’t done it yet. Maybe for my birthday…
to catch a flight out of Pittsburgh! Received wake-up call and got up immediately. It was easy this time because the consequences would have been awful…need to work on getting up when I’m not in danger of missing a flight!
