Keeping the desk clean is only a beginning, but it’s harder than it looks! There are constantly more paper coming in. So! I’m going to try to keep up with this one thing and worry about the rest later.

Keeping my desk clean is something I’ve had to spend time on over the last 6 months or so. I have a lot of paper samples and a backlog of paperwork that needed to be filed. For a long time I had no where to put all of it but I invested in some new furniture and the problem is mostly solved.
I can’t say that I’ve got this “thing” completely taken care of but it’s much better than it was. I’ll be able to cross this off the list once I have the proper mounting hardware for the new shelf I bought. Two weeks from now is the goal.
It became easy. Now I only keep things I plan on working with during the day there. If it’s not on the list for to day, I don’t care, it’s not going on my desk (other than my computer, that is).
Just cleaned/put away/threw away an amount of items which can be be measured by weight. Though my computer desk is kind of small (which is a testimony to it’s durability), I still have some smaller things in cups and little stacks. Maybe I’ll get to it tonight. Then again, maybe not.
The desk is just a starting point. I want to keep “my space” clean, and tidy.
Before I can keep my desk clean, I have to get it clean. I’m almost there, and I’m happy to report that in most places I can even see the surface of my desk now!
