How to learn hangul
How I did it: Research, practice, and lots of dedication.
I first dedicated myself to learning Korean. The first step in doing so is to learn the alphabet, which is called Hangul. Hangul consists of 24 letters -- 14 vowels and 10 consonants which can be arranged in groups of 2, 3, or 4 occupying a single "block", or space. I learned the actual symbols themselves to begin with. The most complicated of Hangul letters only has 5 strokes, and the rules of arrangement are simple to follow.
I began practicing my reading skills by going to the Korean Wikipedia page and reading the text aloud until I could correctly repeat it at a moderate pace.

Wow… Finally!!!
I want to learn this… I honestly do! First, I’ve got to finish planning out my new schedule so I can squeeze it in. Probably 1-2 hours per day would do.
haha.. want to freaking learn hangul,,, so anyone want to help.. i want to speak, write and read hangul so… hehe… am pretty serious cuz i love exploring new language..
Last weekend, I had nothing to do and sat down. It’s really not that hard if you focus. I had it all down in a few hours, and then had all the punctuation and am working on grammar.
I have a language exchange partner from my university and she helps me pronounce correctly. Recommended stuff to help you… Hippocrene’s Beginners Korean (don’t remember exact title), Teach Yourself Korean. I didn’t have a lot of money so that was all I could afford, but they helped immensely!!!

I now know the sounds of all the consonants and vowels, but it’s only the beginning as I would now like to practice reading and writing in Hangul :-)
