make a good design portfolio

I got Photoshop CS for Christmas. I’m not completely used to all the changes just yet, but I’m definitely liking it better.

My student union has been giving me lots of opportunities to create lots of posters and promotional materials so I’m experimenting with a lot of ideas and techniques.

When I stop being a starving student please remind me to get a better version of Photoshop. Mine is old and pirated and it’s driving me nuts.

My student union has a quarterly magazine and this semester it has fallen upon me to do the majority of the layout, as well as finding most of the graphics for it.

The nice thing about this project is that it’s kind of experimental at the best of times, so I have a lot of free reign to try out a lot of different styles, layouts and fonts.

I like challenges :)
