Visit 12 new places in my city in 2009

So, I’ve done this twice already, in 2007 and 2008. I think it’s a good thing to keep track of because it makes me realize all of the new experiences I am having!

I had my first last night..

1. The Gershwin Theater, Manhattan. I went there last night to see Wicked. My first time seeing the play & being to the theater. Not only was the play GREAT, but the seeing the space was a cool thing. It was a lot bigger than the theater where I saw the last Broadway show I went to (Les Mis) and the set was awesome.

oh, and I thought of another that was pretty cool:
2. I don’t remember the name of the restaurant I went to, but for the Chinese New Year, I went to a place in Flushing, Queens to celebrate with my boyfriend and some of his friends. The restaurant was cool because it was authentic chinese food (ie, cook your own meat and vegetables in a pot in the middle of the table.) It was definitely an interesting experience..

Yesterday I wento to a different place that before i was always saying: I want to go there. Yesterday i did it. And today i saw this,k and i think it´s a very good idea.

This is a fun goal but somehow it got buried in the bottom of the pile… I am going to start anew on this one in Jan.

Went to a new nail salon to get a pedicure. I don’t go very often. This place is brand new and was very nice.

Went to a new place called Massage Envy. Its not quite as fancy as a spa but very nice and affordable. I will definelty go back again.

Went to the new Hawaiian BBQ take out place and picked up dinner for work.

I still love this goal. I just need to be more proactive in following through. I’ve still got a list of places I didnt make it to last year that I’ll try my best… no…. I WILL see this year. :D

I’m going to roll it into ‘08 and see what I can make up for. ;)

Wow!

What a wonderful trail. I saw it while i was in the hospital recovering from surgery. Huel Howser. How can you not watch this guy bumble around california? ha.

Anyway they said the trail was about a mile long on the show but its more like an eighth mile. Its on the los feliz side of griffith park/ an area I’d not been to before but I’m def going back. There is a snack stand up near the end of the trial that serves organic and vegan food, pies and snacks. Unfortunately jeff was hung over all day so by the time we got up there the place was closed. But thats ok. We’ll be back soon.
