Ich spreche jetzt besser Deutsch, aber es ist nicht perfekt…and there’s probably errors there as well = ) I have taken a total of 4.5 years of German classes, and my German is better than it was when I set this goal. It could get better, but I feel like I could go to Germany and find a bathroom. That’s pretty much what I’m looking for. ; )
I have really learned a lot in these courses, and I’m proud of the German that I do know, so I’m checking this baby off!

My German is still awful. Considering I live in a German speaking nation and have worked and lived extensively in Germany and Switzerland and Liechtenstein and Austria, and that my GF is a native German Speaker I really have no excuse. I guess its a matter of application. So I will be taking lessons once a week.

I took German in middle school, two years in high school, and now two semesters in college, but I don’t feel like I have as great a grasp on the language as I would like. My German family members still write to me in English because I can’t translate their German well enough. I really do love the language and want to do better in my German classes. Next fall I am taking another German class, so hopefully that will go very well :D
