How I did it:
First I thought about the look I wanted and what kind of image I wanted to portray, and I looked in hairstyle magazines for weeks trying to find the perfect cut. Eventually I was torn between two cuts so I slept on it for a while, and chose neither style. I didn't actually choose the cut I ended up with until I was at the salon flipping through the hair books. I also dyed my hair a different color.
In addition to having my hair done I also had a massage and a mani-pedi. I think doing all those things at the same time made me feel good about myself and I got to have a day of beauty and pamper myself a bit, which people should take the time to do for themselves as often as possible!
Lessons & tips: Ask your friends what kind of cut they see you with, and ask for their advice.
Look at celebrity hairstyles and watch the trends, but not too closely. Sometimes a trendy style doesn't look good on everyone.
Don't be afraid to do something dramatic. It's just hair! It grows back!
Allow yourself to enjoy the time that someone else is spending on making you look pretty. Have a shampoo with a scalp massage and get your nails done too. It will make you feel good, like you just got a makeover.
Take before and after pictures!
Ask your friends with nice hair where they have their hair done. My friend had her hair cut the day before I had mine done and I liked hers so much I went to the place she had hers done and asked for the same stylist.
Don't forget to tip!!

Still haven’t cut my hair. I haven’t found anywhere I want to have it done. I did dye it a different color red tho. It was a more natural light auburn color and now its deep, dark, red. I’m not sure how I like it. Maybe once it fades some. I dunno.

I found my hairstyle, now I just need to find a salon…
I’ve had a fringe for most of my life. Sometimes I grow it out to my nose and then I get bored of growing it out, I get impatient and it starts to look a mess so cut it again. I’ve been going around I that circle all my life. I know i suit a fringe but I’m bored of it. I’ve been growing it out for a while now. My fringe has finally reached the middle of my nose. I’m not sure if i’ll gorw it out completely or if I’ll grow it into a long side fringe. I haven’t decided. I’m not so tempted to cut it to above my eyebrows anymore. I think it’s because it’s getting quite long now and I can nearly tuck it behind my ears which is encoraging. I had my hair croped about a year ago, it looked great but it didn’t last very long and I decided I miss my long and more feminine hair. I can’t believe how much it’s grown in…what…15 months. It’s just past my shoulders now. I’m not sure what I should do with it now. I guess I’ll just keep growing it till it’s the length I want it to be. :)
It was cut shorter than I wanted it, but it’s already grown out a bit. I really like it!
I have long curls, and I think they’re really cute and reflect my personality. But I really don’t have a long time to spend on my hair, and I don’t really want to spend a long time on it. It’s heavy, thick, and curly, and even though I have it layered, it is always flat on top and curly on the bottom. I don’t want to cut it any shorter than chin length, but that’s seriously pushing it because It always ends up triangular. I put different products in my hair, but then I have to put it in a ponytail because it gets in my face! I hate that! It’s really sexy when it’s long, but I don’t have time or energy for it.
Any pics of curly hair I find online are either huge fros or wavy. Nothing for me. Bleh :(
I just want a change. I have been trying to grow it to a hairstyle I like to call “Eve style” so that its covering my boobs but that is taking too long. With the way my hair gros, it would take me to the end of this year and even longer to grow the extra.. 2 or so inches I need to accomplish my desired look. Even if I do get to that point, I am already getting irritated as shit with the length my hair is now. Its just getting long and I dunno if I can manage it. I’m not high maintenance enough I don’t think. Just want a change!
sometimes what you want and what you get are two different things.you should always think of the outcome before the decision is made!!!
I’ve spent years growing my hair out to the middle of my back, and I’ve impulsively cut it all off into a pixie cut. I’ve had bad perms. I’ve had cuts I’ve loved and cuts I’ve hated. I’ve had blonde hair and black hair and red hair. I’ve had curly hair and straight hair and wavy hair. And what I’ve learned with all my experimentation is that no matter what I do to it, it always grows back.
