Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Fatima Al NassserIt is in the works

My experience with housemaids so far is not that great. My first housemaid was great and was lovely with my baby boy. She did all the chores and was smart in getting things done. Howeverrrr….long story short, after her 2 year contract she left me with the impression that she is going to come back to work for another 2 year contract…but haven’t heard from her since she flew off for her vacation back to her hometown in Indonesia. Needless to say, that really made me angry with her. At least she could have called and let me know she doesn’t want to come back!!

I am currently hiring my aunt’s housemaid for 2 months, but she will be flying back to her hometown too within the next couple of weeks. I have applied for a new housemaid and hoping she will be here soon. All the paperwork will hopefully be done by today.

I am crossing my fingers and praing my new housemaid will be an angel. 11 months ago

Karl SteinkopfDon't really NEED a maid anymore...

DID get a house sitter. Not exactly the same thing.
But… since i don’t live in my house most of the time anymore, a maid is somewhat unnecessary. 17 months ago

PinkPetalsV2I wonder what it would take

One of the things I’m having a lot of trouble with is taking care of my children and my home. I’d love to hire someone to come in and help me take care of the tidiness of my home.
I have someone in mind, I just wonder if it can fit into my budget.
I wonder what’s possible and what it would take to have someone brilliant, honest, and trustworthy keep my home clean and organized. 19 months ago

PisceswithgoalsToo optimistic?

This wasn’t the wonderful thing I thought it could be. I ended up cleaning everything again right afterwards. :S 2 years ago
