Oh my gosh I really want to do this!!!
I live in Sydney so it’s always really hot around Christmas, and it never ever snows.
Maybe I can go to America in my gap year for Christmas and stay with my aunties? The plane ticket is expensive, but I think it would be worth it!

How I did it: Went to Portland, OR after my "divorce" (we were domestic partners) to be with my brother and get back on my feet again. I certainly needed some beauty and warmth in my life at the time. And I'd always lived in AZ and only ever seen pathetic excuses for snow as I passed through other places. But OR had a freak snowfall through-out December of 08. And I got to see REAL snowflakes and build a REAL snowman on Christmas day. Talk about a grea… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I didn't do anything, i happened to live in Scotland, the heavens opened and the snow fell and it fell and it kept falling and so much fell that no1 made it to Christmas dinner just my immediate family. It was great, so muhc more relaxed than having to entertain older relatives and the like. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I live in Canada, therefore we always get snow in the winter. Lately, our christmas' have been dry and dead. But growing up, it was AMAZING. Snow would be up to my waist and it was awesome (cold but awesome!) Read how I did it…

I live in New Zealand and it is always summertime when we have Christmas. I would love to celebrate Christmas in the Northern Hemisphere and have a real white Christmas.
I’ve lived in Canada my entire life. I could not imagine Christmas without snow. No matter where I may end up in my life, it will always be Canada at Christmas.

As I’m moving to Sweden, where they often have white Christmases, and being that I’ve always lived in England, have only ever had grey ones. It’ll be fun.
I can’t imagine what it would be like to wake up christmas morning and not see snow outside my window. The christmas season is probably the only time I really enjoy living in New England.. but other than that I’m not a big fan of the cold weather.. meh
The best part is the silence and the muffled sounds of everyday life PLUS the crunch when you walk on a fresh patch!
Having spent several winters in the Great White North, I have done this several times. I would say that it is something everyone should do once.

lived in several places where we had a white christmas. I think the best ones were when we lived in Watertown NY….lots of snow up there. Everything looks so fresh and new. It is so pretty

I live in Wisconsin, so I see a majority of my Christmas’s in white. I wouldn’t have it any other way! I get cold pretty easily, but even so I would miss the snow if we didn’t get it. I have a lot of memories of snowfights, sledding, snowmen, and forts to look back on…
And how else would we ride snowmobiles? ;)
