How I did it: 1. set it as a goal
I had kp duty again at the Wednesday Night Fellowship dinner at church. And even though they have a great dishwasher, which does a load of dishes in less than 5 minutes, the dinner included some cheesy food that stuck to the plates and and silverware needed a lot of careful rinsing and scrubbing or soaking before loading.
And I don’t even get a free dinner anymore. Oh, well, it’s ok. The fellow who cooks the dinners works a lot harder than I did, and he sells the leftovers to make a little extra money. 21 months ago
good to see the bottom of the sink on a daily basis 21 months ago
That’s what I call getting off to a good start. 21 months ago
good to get this done; I actually think I did this once in between my last entry about it and now, too; there really wasn’t much stuff in there so I probably did. 21 months ago
Never thought I’d see the bottom of it again but I do now. 21 months ago
I absolutely hate it and can never seem to keep up. I run out of hot water, my back hurts – I’m way too tall for this house and never remember to put my legs out to either side until I’ve been doing a Hunchback of Notre Dame routine for half an hour and the damage is already done. But anyway I now have a few clean dishes in the house again. Almost enough to make dinner tonight. 21 months ago
Dirtied two pots, two bowls, a measuring cup and…the fork I’d just washed. I’d do something about this but I have to be at work in about 7 hours so I really need to go to bed. 22 months ago
How I did it: I've been putting off washing the dishes all day, but I just put on some tunes and got to it. Pretty much the only way to wash dishes these days. Read how I did it… 2 years ago
How I did it: I made groups of the different dishes... then I start with plates, I continue with glasses and finally do the forks, spoons and knives... =_= it's not funny. At all! Read how I did it… 2 years ago
...but I’ve got to wash it first. It hasn’t been used in years. 2 years ago
It was my turn for KP duty at the church Wednesday Night Fellowship dinner. At least I got a good meal in return. 3 years ago
How I did it: Just how you wash the dishes... late in the evening, listening to loud music
I don't want my room mate to think I'm too lazy so I had a good reason to do it now Read how I did it… 3 years ago
With kids, there are always dishes to wash. 3 years ago
I cant believe its been 5 months since I wrote an entry about this. Well I’ve been sucessfully washing my own dishes regularly. But I’ve only been washing my own. Getting on my uncle when he leaves his stuff in the sink. So far this method is working rather nicely.
-Tip from me about dishes: Filling the sink with warm soapy water and letting everything soak makes life alot easier. And make sure you get some type of heavy duty metal scouring pad for burnt on stuff. 3 years agoone stupid pan won’t come clean, darn burnt on stuff… other than that, just gotta put stuff away 3 years ago
