My friend has a standard.. and she let me drive it for the first time. I drove around a deserted parking lot and feeling pretty confident i squeeled the tires(by accident) out on to the street. It was so different, but i made it on a busy street, and through some subdivisions, i probably stalled once or twice. Now her car is very very new, like an 08 model, and when i tried to drive the boys 91 ford ranger, it didnt work out so well. The clutch was sticky and i could barely reach the pedals.. but no worries. He has another truck that we takes off roading, which i am more than welcome to drive whenever i like. So thats when im going to learn it all. i just need to find out when…

my parents just bought a new chevy cobalt and it’s really cute, so i really want to drive it, but i can’t yet. so i need to learn how to.
So I want a VW Westfalia…thing is, the purchase would be useless if I can’t manage to operate standard transmission.
Want to do this before my boyfriend gets a Genesis, so I can drive his Tib. ;)
After a bit of practice, I can now say I know how to drive a standard. It was something I’ve been needing to do for a while, and I’m glad I can do it now. I still need a spot of practice, but I know all the rules of the game.
I can drive one, but it’s so jerky and awful. If I’m ever going to buy a Corvette, I think it’d be a sin not to have stick shift.
I think it would be really cool to learn how to drive a standard. I want to be able to really feel like I’m driving the car and the car isn’t driving me. I guess it’s like a feeling of power.
i think it’s so hot (in a completely heterosexual way, of course) when girls know how to drive stick shifts. i want to be one of those hot girls that knows how to take it from 0 – 60 manually. =D
because my first attempts were pretty rough. But all in all, the concept is more intimidating than the execution. Practice, practice, practice.
