I don’t have a good voice and will no doubt humiliate myself but what the heck. Someday I will get up the nerve.
How to sing karaoke in public.

How I did it: I am actually a singer, and do so at church regularly. This was a totally different experience though. I sang "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith with a couple of friends and really rocked out. The crowd was impressed--it was really a rush. I'd do it again!

I have had a massive fear of singing in public since I was 11 or 12. My friend and I tried out for a talent show and people laughed. After humiliating myself I have not been able to try to sing again. I will sing horribly on purpose to cover up my true voice. I know that it sucks on its own but it is less embarrassing when people think you’re messing around. I am even insecure when I sing to my niece. I need to accept my crappy voice and get over it!

i sang karaoke one time at the fiesta bowl and ended up being interviewed for the local news station! my fifteen seconds of fame came from being brave enough to sing in front of a bunch of strangers.

Always a good time, especially at a dive bar where you don’t know anyone if you are nervous. It is all on good fun and not everyone is a great singer, its about having a good time!
