dye my hair auburn

I am 43 and so bored with myself and my life that I can’t stand it. I need to shake things up. I’m going to my hair guy tomorrow at 10AM CST and coloring my hair. We had been planning a chocolate brown with caramel highlights thing….but I keep thinking about dark auburn with some sort of appropriate highlight. I have always been blonde. Golden Blonde. So, this is a departure for me. It’s weird that a woman identifies herself with her hair color, but I do, I always have been BLONDE….oh well, it’s only hair, and why not take a chance and change up something. Wish me luck.

Yayayaya 8 wash 8 wash! I love it but kind of miss my blonde now… similar to how I missed being red when I was blonde…

I want to do this tomorrow morning, in an 8 wash dye.

Whether I go through with it or not is up to my laziness!

Well, I’m 13 years-old and I have never dyed my hair in my life. That’s the reason why I want to do it! I’m a natural dusky blonde-haired, is auburn too ambitious, does anyone think?

Anyway, I’m in the middle of a school term at the moment, so I don’t want to do it soon! In the school holidays, maybe. I go to a summer school/activity club so I’ll show off my new look then!

I’m really excited about dying my hair! And auburn is such a gorgeous colour.

Needed a change. I haven’t changed my color in a long time and I definitely felt a need for something different in my life. (little did I know all the changes that would be occurring this week!)
I’ve had some fun looking up red hair myths and stereotypes and I’m discovering some of my own.
For instance:
A French Proverb states that “redheaded women are either violent or false, and usually are both.”

But then again, red haired women are often thought to be a little rowdy in the sack so maybe it’s worth the trouble?

Bathsheba is almost always depicted as a redhead. Rembrandt, Francesco, Ricci, Artemisia, and Hollywood all cast her in shades from ginger to auburn.

In Corsica, if you pass a redhead in the street you are to spit and turn around.

In Greek Mythology, redheads turn into Vampires when they die.

During the Spanish Inquisition flame colored hair was evidence that its owner had stolen the fire of hell and had to be burned as a witch.

My own interesting observation:
I have observed that blond hair definitely gets more of the head turns from men then the red. However, I am shocked to find that the guys who do notice me STARE. Friday me and the girls went to watch some indoor soccer and then out for dinner and three different men literally stopped what they were doing and stalker-style stared at me. I’m not sure what all this means…

I need a change somehow in my life. Hair has always been easy to manipulate. I could regret it…but then again it could be just what I need to feel somehow different.

My sister dyed her hair this color a year ago and it looked super good. I’ve always thought red head were so pretty. But I never thought I could be one since I’m darker skinned :( but Ive finally found my color! Auburn here I come!

Really I got manic panic and covered my head in it, but since I didn’t bleach it I only got it highlighted. but it still looked pretty dang awesome.

For anybody who has used bleach before: Does your hair go back to it’s natural color after it’s bleached or will you have to dye it permanently back to the old color?

Auburn is a gorgeous hair color and it looks fantastic on almost anyone! I kept my hair auburn for a good year and a half before I got tired of it.

Hey! If this is what you wanna do, I don’t see any reason why not! I keep my hair auburn at all times, because I love it so much! So go on! Dye that hair!!
