bake cupcakes from scratch.

i had to go out and buy both ingredients and a baking book, but in it was a recipie for RUM AND RAISIN cupcakes!! just perfect. they didnt rise as much as i’d hoped, but were tasty and well recieved. and the rum butter frosting was very yummy indeed. and he was very happy to have cake for his birthday!

for my fella. for his birthday. humm, a recipie with coffee, chocolate and / or rum is needed!

Tried a recipe for Butter Cupcakes with Sticky Fudge Frosting from a book I bought in Sonoma, California—but I didn’t cook the frosting long enough, and it melted all over the place the minute I put it on the cupcakes. Then I put foil on top to carry them to a party the next day, and all the frosting got stuck to it and came off. It was depressing. But, hey, I got points for trying.

I try not to eat very many sweets but she wanted cupcakes and I love cooking. What kind? Chocolate of course with chocolate frosting and chocolate shavings. Not bad for my first attempt. I think she liked them. I did try a little of them they were pretty good I think.

cupcakes are so cute, i think i just want to look at them. but i have a new cookbook with a vegan coconut cupcake recipe . . . i’d probably eat some of those if i made them.
