I do know how to drive, I just haven’t done it much for oh 3-4 years now, so I’m quite rusty. Need to start again though, before it gets even worse! :p
Will take it nice and slow.
How I did it: I decided that it was time to be brave and face it! I asked my father, my mom and my boyfriend to help me. They really made me not feel insecure.
One day, there was no one to go with me in the car as a co-pilot, so I decided to drive to college by myself. It was such a great experience, driving alone for the first time! After that, I can go everywhere!
Of course I don't have my own car... I'm just a student, but sometimes my mother let me drive her car.
Lessons & tips: Just do it when if feel completely safe. Don't go with the flow.

Uaba trying to live without fear!
Well, a friend of mine gave me the incentive I needed to drive again. She, alone, got her mom’s car and went to college just one week after taking her driving license. She’s such a courageus girl! And I haven’t even tried to drive after ONE YEAR from taking my driving license. Oh, I suck!
So, this weekend I’ll ask my dad to go with me to some desert place, so that I can lose the little fear I have! I hope it works!
I did learn and got a driving licence. I just didn’t like it too much and need to do it at all – but now things have changed completely. I already applied for a learner’s licence and am going to call a driving instructor to schedule my lessons!
I’ve done it, barely. Though Mom & Dad still won’t loan me the car or let me drive alone, i’m actually capable of driving fairly long distances without much supervision (they’re more worried about my sense of direction than skill).
but basically, I’d like to be able to drive to the bookstore myself to buy the last Harry Potter book. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it, but I figure it’s a worthy goal point, yes?
I actually got my license at 18, right before I came to school. I have an irrational terror of driving, which I ought to deal with. I told my parents about this goal, and they’re trying to help. I think it might partly be because driving (for me) is very scary and very uncomfortable (physically).
