learn how to play the harmonica

I used to have a harmonica when I was a little girl and I remember tooting it all around the house. I got another one for my 31st birthday and I have yet to learn how to play.

I got a harp holder for Christmas! I can fumble my way through Heart of Gold. I need to get the whole thing solid on guitar, because when I try to throw in the harmonica solo, there’s so much going on that I have to think about. But it’s promising. I’m super excited!!

I found two harmonicas in my house (they used to be my brothers’), discovered some old Dylan vinyl, and decided I wanted to learn. I just got a new one in the key of G, and my uncle gave me a harmonica holder. My first song goal is Neil Young’s Heart of Gold on harp and guitar together.

I can play the intro (first harp section) for Heart of Gold. One measure at a time…

Additionally, I’ve found www.harmonicalessons.com to be very helpful.

...not to watch this goal for lots of activity in the near future.

I always wanted to know how to play an instrument, so I finally decided to learn. I went to a shop and bought a harmonica. This is where the tricky part begins. I have no clue how to play the harmonica or, how to learn. My plan is to start study how to play from a book and/or internet, and then just practice. I think this will take a long time to learn, but in the end – I bet it is worth it! =)

My dad just gave me his old harmonica, so I’m really stoked about that. I can finally start to learn, now all I have to do is find someone who will teach me.

I went shopping yesterday for a new Harmonica book.
I Did not find one I liked with fun music, will keep looking.

I HAVE 2 HARMONICAS, ONE IN THE NOTE OF C AND D. I STARTED TO LEARN LAST YEAR AND IT WAS GOING PRETTY GOOD BUT I HAVENT PLAYED IT FOR AT LEAST 9 MONTHS, ALSO ITS HARD TO FIND GOOD, YET EASY MUSIC.
