I’ve always wanted to find the end of a rainbow and then shout out really loudly “SKITTLES! TASTE THE RAINBOW!” =]
One day on my motorcycle on the highway I saw a brilliant rainbow on my left, up on a hillside. I was thinking it was maybe the most brilliant and colorful rainbow I’d ever seen. Then the rainbow leg that I was looking at started to extend and move toward me. Within moments, the end of the rainbow was in contact with the pavement 2 feet to the left of my motorcycle. I was so amazed! I twisted and shifted my head, but the rainbow stayed there as I went down the highway. It lasted for maybe 30 seconds? I didn’t want to tell anyone for fear they would think I’m crazy. I am so grateful to have had the experience.
We were returning from Carlsbad Caverns and we passed through the end of a rainbow on the interstate in west TX between Fort Stockton and Sonorra. I thought it was impossible, but got online and was reassured to find others that had done the same thing.. It is thrilling.
We saw a double rainbow today from the back yard in Central TX.. The color spectrum is opposite with red being on the adjacent sides, and sky in between.. If you look hard, sometimes you can even see a light faded third, but it is usually just some blue indigo violet shades close to the ground and very faint.
I was driving along a back road in Scotland (on vacation) two weeks ago and I drove through the end of a rainbow; I hadn’t realized that it was possible until the moment that we entered it! I was with several friends as well as my husband and we were all clapping and screaming. We felt absolutely euphoric afterwards. It felt like a mystical and auspicious event. I’m glad that other’s have shared it!
It was accidental. A few years back when I was a sophmore in high school, my then boyfriend and I were walking home when we decided to stop. It was straight out of a fantasy movie. I remember kissing and hugging then when we opened our eyes, we were standing at the end of the rainbow. In it even. It lasted for what might have been 5 seconds but I swear that the whole world paused for much longer. We both screamed, jumped, laughed, kissed and smiled all the way home. My father and told me that he had found the end of a rainbow and been in it when he was in the army. I didn’t think it was possible. I called him the second I got home. It truly is possible. There was light, rain and the end of the rainbow. Unfortunatly, no pot of cold.

the wonderful thing is that i never thought it was possible. maybe anything is, and that’s God’s lesson. who knows. i hope to learn that lesson, with or without the rainbow.
I found the end of a rainbow last summer. I was driving to my friend’s house when a storm came out of nowhere. I saw the end of a rainbow on the road in front of me, and I drove right through it! I just couldn’t stop smiling. The feeling of joy was too great for words. immense. When I got to her house, the storm was over and the sky was blue, and I was happy.
A couple of years ago, my hubby and I were sitting on the front porch watching the rain fall. Just as the sun started to come out, I looked over and saw, approx. 7 feet away, the end of the rainbow as it arched over our house. Not believing my own eyes, I said, “Craig, look!” We both watched it for several minutes before it finally disappeared. Due to the economy, our income level had fallen and we had had to drop our house insurance. What I did not know is that earlier that day, my husband had prayed that our home would be protected from fire and such. We took this as a confirmation that our house was protected. Since then, we’ve had drought and fire in this area and some tornadic activity, but it hasn’t come anywhere close to our house. This is one of those mystical, magical moments that happen only occasionally in life but confirm to me that there is a God and that He does love me.
