be the mother I know I can be one day

And I only hope that I will be the mother that my children deserve.

By the end of this summer me and my husband will be the overjoyed parents of two little girls. My body and mind are so full of changes, everyday we go through something new. The other day, while I was wallowing in a warm bubble bath I not only felt but saw them move. Childbirth is such a miracle and I haven’t been able to comprehend. I thank God for these 9 months so that I may be reborn into a mother as my children prepare for their own birth.

It is so strange to have two little brings within me. I no longer stand alone. I am three-fold. Strong. Beautiful. Woman.

I am a preschool teacher and I know what kind of teacher I am. I hope that I can be that kind of mother one day. I look at my children in my classroom and am filled with such love that sometimes it feels like I’m going to be overcome with it. I love children with all my heart and know that I will be a good mother. A great mother. I will love them with all of the love I have in my body and soul. My children will be everything to me.

I can’t wait.
