I'm making some progress  — 3 months ago

Rewrote the different versions of my outline I need to memorize (from shortest to longest) and I memorized some new material. This is in prep for the MBE.
Questions:
1. What’s the best memorization techniques or programs you’ve actually used? Particularly ones that are less commonly known.
2. How many discrete facts do you think one needs to have memorized? 400? 1,000? 10,000?

One Note apparently has these features for typing. I didn’t know that!

stalling more than I should  — 3 months ago

I’ve been waiting for this book I want to use to be sent to me. It’s gotten to the point of stalling. I need to do more to stay warm on what I know and to learn new things. I can’t afford to blow the NJ Bar Exam in February.

Memorized Basic Outline  — 4 months ago

I memorized my basic outline, which is about 5 pages or so. Now I plan to memorize my outline in 2 or three more stages of detail, before the final stage. The final stage is about 150 pages. Don’t know if I’m going to memorize the whole thing, or just read through it 100 times, before starting to do problems. This is in prep for the Feb. ‘09 New Jersey bar exam (although I suppose there’s a tiny chance I may take it in July ‘08).

Got a Copy of my basic outline  — 4 months ago

A friend mailed me a copy of my basic outline, which I’d left at my old place, so now I plan to rememorize my weak points. Then moving on to the expanded 150 page outline.

Still Need To Get On Track With Bar Examp Prep  — 5 months ago

By April 1st, I need to start making the right moves in this direction. There’s a book I’m using to prep, that I left in another city. I need to get my friends to express mail it to me.

Been Slacking, Need To Get Back To Work On Bar Exam Prep :(  — 5 months ago

I’ve been slacking the last few days due to a new move. I don’t think my situation here will stabilize for about a month. Which probably means it’s the February 2009 NJ Bar Exam for me. I’m disappointed, but I want to get back on the focused bar preparation track. Encouragement in the comments is welcome!

Taking the New Jersey Bar Exam in July 2008 or February 2009  — 5 months ago

I’m taking the New Jersey Bar Exam in July 2008 or February 2009. I’m starting to lean towards February 2009, because of how busy I’ll be between now and July and because of my other financial commitments. But I still want to put in significant work every day for the NJ bar exam, even if I plan to tak it 10 months from now.

Advice from readers on how I can best prepare for the New Jersey Bar exam is welcome.
1. Is it true that you only have to prepare Multistate law to prepare for the New Jersey bar exam? That you don’t have to know any New Jersey law?
2. Is it true New Jersey is one of the easiest bar exams in the USA? Are there are US state bar exams that are significantly easier?
