lipglosskiller feels like a madman on the run
When working in a gym, you meet lots of people who expect instant results from a work out. They’ll say “I’ve done 100 crunches every night since last Wednesday, and I still don’t have abs!” or “I walked two miles after work every day this week on the treadmill, how can I still be the same weight?” I would just be stunned that people would think that exercise works like that. If anyone could have the body of a dancer after two weeks of ballet class, don’t you think we’d all look like dancers? I was spending as much time exercising with them as I was telling them that if you look different the day after a work out, you’re either a magician or doing something wrong. You can expect instant gratification with email, not with your body.
While trying to fix my posture, I find that I have to give myself the same speeches. I’m getting frustrated that at the end of the day, I still look the same, plus some exhaustion. It took me years to screw my posture up. It’s not going to go back over night. I finally really get the frustration. I’ve had long term fitness goals before, but never this long.
All worthwhile things take time, right?
Hey, I can relate to future clients in a new way. Yay. Damn it sucks.
