My third attempt 20 months ago

It’s the third time I am starting to read “The pragmatic programmer”. I hope I’ll manage to finish it this time and take sme notes on the most interesting parts. Anyway, I am looking forward to being a little bit further along than the 30 pages I am now at.

You will improve you’re coding after reading this book, just go to amazon right now :-)

Great read, and not just for programming 2 years ago

Embrace DRY (don’t repeat yourself) and the idea of not living with ‘broken windows’ i.e. things that you don’t like but are tempted to ‘live with’ or ‘work around’ and you will transform your life. Since reading this book I’ve done a 180 in my professional life, becoming a better coder and more organized person in general. I’m currently working on becoming better at shell scripting since I waste a lot of time running repetitive commands and struggling with vi, but I’ll get there one day.

Zoidberg has got to complete some of these goldarn goals!

Great Book 2 years ago

Loved it – read it on holiday on the plane. I can’t wait to put these things into practice at my job. Pragmatic is the word – just very common sense stuff.
