keep up with my knitting

Doing okay with this goal. Since I have been busy working on my online classes I haven’t been doing it for the past 2 weeks. I did make a hat though! Not too hard. I think I’ll get started on a new project (scarf) tonight, until I have time to go to the knitting store and work on a purse or another hat maybe.

I just learned how to do knit this past spring and I really enjoy it! Especially having a finished project. I think I have tapped into a new creative outlet…so I am going to keep with this and hopefully at some point take up sewing also. So far I have made 4 scarves and 1 shawl. I am working on a scarf for my brother’s fiance, and then for him when I am done (they are having a honeymoon in NYC after the wedding in January). Also, I have to start working on a shawl for my mom for the wedding. Right now my skills are pretty basic, but in picking out pretty yarns that is okay for now. I def. want to learn more advanced techniques and also how to make other things. After these projects I am working on I am going to do a hat and purse. The other day my mom’s friend who works at an elderly center gave me 2 big bags full of yarn they didn’t need anymore. That was really cool! So…it looks like I have to keep with it!
