write more, write better

I have been writing more lately, and so far it’s better than nothing so it must be better. I’m remaining interested in this one project but my downfall is always getting bored with something before I finish and moving on to the next idea. I’m hoping I stick with this one and see it through to the end. Any words of encouragement?

I am so unbelievably livid, right now, I can barely breathe.

I don’t even know how to begin this. I’m just so pissed.
I’ve been wanting to see the movie Milk, since I’ve heard of its existence. I absolutely love supporting gay rights and Harvey Milk is a pioneer of gay rights, in my eyes. I don’t throw that term around loosely. He never had a show on Bravo about making over straight guys, screaming a stereotype. He was promoting the right he so desperately wanted, not only for the people of his community of San Francisco, his state, and his country, but also for himself.

So, as I was scanning movie times about five minutes ago, I couldn’t find it on Celebration’s website. So I looked at another, but couldn’t find it there, either. I ended up doing a zip code search for towns surrounding me, pretty much searching through every movie theatre Michigan has to offer.
AND NO MOVIE THEATRE IS FUCKING SHOWING IT.

Maybe there’s something I’m missing. I have no idea how theatres get rights to show movies. But they certainly have them (of fucking course) for High School Shitical and the fiftieth James Bond movie. I don’t know. And you know what? I DON’T GIVE A SHIT. SHOW IT!

My first point of attack with this goal is with an expository speech I’m giving next Tuesday for my public speaking class. I’m going to be talking about the evolution of The Beatles, from “I Want To Hold Your Hand” to “Why Don’t We Do It In the Road?”

I fancy myself an expert on all things Beatle, so although I’m going to be writing a six to eight minute speech, if I get frazzled, I think I it won’t be so bad to just improvise and ad-lib a teeny bit.

My vocabulary is just not really where I want it to be. I’m horrible with grammar so I always have to double and triple check everything I write [ except for this , sorry readers!]. What I’m really concerned about though is my childlike writing. I’m defiantly one of the best in my class but that doesnt say much ;I mean there’s millions of people on the planet who want to be journalists. Does best out of 400 really make me a tough competitor? I don’t think so. blehhh.

I have started writing in 2007 and have been writing for the local Catholic newspaper. I hope to extend my writing ability by pursuing articles in the local town newspaper and also to start a non-fiction book.

I am very excited about 2008.

Yay! After posting that previous entry I actually made an effort the rest of the day to think about writing and this evening I sat down and actually wrote a bit of fiction after almost a whole year of writing nothing! Hope i can keep it going for a while.

I really really do want to write something, but I just have NO ideas at the moment! What to do what to do! So frustrating.

I write something down everyday now. Not like a diary but something a little more interesting in my opinion. I think I might even be able to write papers more easily because I’m more aware of me and what I want to say. I wont stop though. Ill keep writing everyday and maybe share some of my thoughts with a luck few.
