do past life regression

Ever since I started reading about Buddhism, I am just dieing to discover my past lives. I am not necessarily convinced that we do live more than once, but the reports by people who have done the hypnosis have been fascinating so far, from discovering one’s true self to healing deeply anchored mental and even physical illnesses. Even if it is all hallucination, it would be crazy to experience.
My boyfriend just happened to stuble upon the address of someone who is specified in this field and even lives nearby, and since he got the address from a Buddhist forum, it should be reliable.
So now we’re both saving up for a session with this woman, and I will probably arrange it as a treat for my semester exams in late January.

I want to get this done before my 25th birthday which is this April! My friend Elly will go with me in Dallas Texas. I will write about the result. I’ve never had one done before. I’m really interested in what will happen.

Has anyone on here done this? What was your experience? Did it help you to figure out this life better? I’ve read books on the subject, but would like to hear from others who have done this. I think it would be interesting to learn what and where I’ve been.

Its like a termite living inside me…eating me up…asking me all the time who I am and y am I here..

i hadn’t any clients yet, (i did it for my personal growth and it helped.)
but i need to warn everyone here not to do it alone. i strongly recommend experienced therapist.

before that school i went to therapist and had douzen of sessions with her. i saw series of lives with all major life events including the end of it, in order to resolve current issues. after that i went to one year series of weekend seminars held also by her. so i saw my classmates doing it and exchganged sessions with them. it was so interesting! (in this school we learned how to use it as a healing tool, and we didn’t
deal with belief system of reincarnation, it wasn’t needed to “believe” in it.)

last year i had one important healing session that included small segment of regression, one scene only. it had very healing impact and lasted for months afterwards.

one of the most amazing things from these experiences for me is realisation how much we carry along from somewhere “before”, it is incredible. (i don’t believe in linear time and never did but this is another subject.) also amazing is to recognize my close folks there (and them to recognize me), in different roles, but the same folks, and to understand my dear ones, myself and our present dynamics as part of that larger scheme.

I had a fusion therapy this week. Part of the process involved the therapist using a brief past life visualisation, I dont think it lasted for more than ten minutes. I cant recall the whole process but was awed at how quickly I responded to her prompts, she spoke quickly to avoid letting me have time to think and question what was being asked. When she asked me what did I see before coming into being, I described myself as an energy state, with out boundaries or form. I was aware of being a part of, and looking out to into a star strewn black universe. It was a really strange and safe feeling of consiousness with out form. I didnt really think, I was just aware of the wonder and vastness of the universe. The name cosmic water lilly popped into my head, as if the name I have chosen was vaildated. It was weird but comforting. I was expecting to relive a snapshot of a life from another centuary, this was not an experience I expected, but none the less very powerful.

I did this last night from an mp3 I downloaded. I went under pretty deep. I’ve been meditating for a while now so I can go pretty deep when I want to. This was fun but I’m not sure how real it is. I was a Himalayan Indian whose wife died on a climbing trip and I died in an avalanche. My name was Sahira. It seemed real but one never knows if it is just imagination at work.
