Laura I want to talk about change.
It has been a long time since I’ve been on 43 things. Just went through hell for about 9 mos plus. Recently financial harships. I had a good credit score, but way too much debt. Then a perfect storm, mistake on the payroll, second half of property taxes due, busted water heater, and air conditioner repair…now I’m behind and yuckiness every where! Anyway…I’m going to credit counseling services Monday and get on a debt reduction. I’ve been paying on these debts for years. I’m sad that my credit score will take a black eye…but I’m happy I’m coming out of the bondage of debt.

I am currently a student and have 10’s of thousands of dollars of debt. I hope that I can be out of school debt within eighteen months of my graduation.
I graduate in September.

Times are hard

I’d really like to be out of debt. Times have been rough, my house is going into foreclosure and I’m constantly out of money. With food and gas prices, things have been really tough. I’m hoping things will get better from here.

In another 2 months I’ll be completely debt free for the first time since 1995. The discipline I’ve had over the last few years has paid off and I’m starting to feel like a burden has been lifted from my shoulders – almost like life is about to start again. A great feeling!

A better goal would be “stop buying worthless crap”

the money message boards on msn.com are full of good advice!
my recommendations:
absolutely #1: live a lifestyle within your means
#2: make saving money (even a little at a time) a habit
#3: seek extra sources of income if needed (extra job)
#4: if you really-really-really want to buy something that you don’t need, save up for it instead of using credit

This is something I dream of one day having! I’m not sure if it will happen but, I always want to still leave a more simpilar lifestyle anyways. One day it will happen it’s crazy how fast one can get in debt!!
