own a boat

Gotta be at least a 40 footer.

I am fairly clueless at the moment. I cannot tell port from starboard. I would have no idea how to hoist an anchor or navigate through treacherous waters. I could possibly scrub the deck and drink some grog but it appears the world looks down on pirates these days.

But it’s a nice romantic notion to own a boat. Preferably a sail boat. After work, head on down to the marina, grab a nice bottle of wine and some prawns, and gently sail the calm waters with the moonlight flickering on the water.

I’m sure it’s not all glitz and glamour, but even the cleaning / repairing side appeals to me.

I think fishing is boring, but there are coastal islands that there aren’t any ferries to that I would love to go to. Granted boats are expensive, but hopefully I’ll be able to cover the cost when I win the lottery. lol

I love the water and think it would B cool to sail with my family.
