...that Harry would have to be on his own (or at least Dumbledore-less) for at least one book, so I wasn’t much surprised that Dumbledore was the one getting the broomstick ride to heaven.
It’s all good :)

Dumbledore was my favorite character in the entire series, and in fact heading into the 6th book I only had one thing to say: “She better not kill Dumbledore!”
Of course, the only people I could not stand to see die in the 7th book were the Weasely twins and look what happened!
7th book was great, explained so many things and Dumbledore is less needed now. I got over it.
I was too busy crying for Fred and Snape, anyway.
Cried my eyes out when Sirius died, then when Dumbledore died I flat out bawled. Almost didn’t finish the book. I didn’t want to believe he was dead but it looks like he’s not coming back :(
Can’t wait for the new book, even if ::sniff:: it is going to be Dumbledore-less
I can’t remember said friend’s theory anymore but i have one of my own and that is that maybe Dumbeldore was pleading for Snape to kill him because not doing so would mean Snape would’ve broken his unbreakable vow to Malfoy’s mother and therefore die, which would mean the Order and the general fight against Voldemort had lost their most important informant and Harry would have a reduced chance of killing Voldemort in the end. However, the way Dumbledore pleads, like a child, does not gel with this theory, i mean if anything Dumbledore would be be authoriative in asking Snape to kill him because Snape, if he was on the good side, would be reluctatnt to let Dumbledore go let alone be the one to do it. And Snape is said to have a face full of hatred when he does perform the ava kedavra…plus all the half-blood prince business. I don’t think it’s insignificant that Snape is so very like Voldemort and Harry…And who in the hell is RAB? Argh…is Dumbledore really dead????
Anyway, i’ma let this goal go and wait eagerly for the next book.

I believe it is necessary for me to accept his death prior to the release of the next book, which isn’t too far away. After 2 years, I think it has settled. I’m still somewhat uncertain as to whether he is permanently dead or will return.
And it’s ok. He’s lived a long life (very long) and has given Harry a lot of useful information.
Harry can carry on now.
There are rumours that Dumbledore will make an appearance in the last book. I never thought it possible. But if that’s the case, then that’s it. I’m over his death.
Read the last two Harry Potter books… I’ve done it. I’ve accepted it. Now, I am convinced that Snape is NOT Death Eater. I’m positive.
