complete NaNoWriMo 2009

I rewrote the first few 1,000 words I originally wrote because the narrative was boring even the writer (me)! Once I got a good narrative, I got into a rhythm, but I was lagging behind. Today, I’m actually just slightly above the goal line! Hurray!! So now it’s time for dinner, bed, shower, and sleeeeeep…

Two words so far!

I can’t believe I failed to do this yet again. Not only did I fail to finish, this past year (2008) I pretty much failed to even start.

Every year I say ‘I’ll never beat last year’s word count’ and then I go and beat it, but this time I really mean it! I most definitely will NOT be writing more than 231K in 2009, unless I lose my job.

Perhaps I’ll aim for a more conservative 200K, and try to write two novels, because as I just discovered, it is incredibly difficult to keep extending the same story to reach a goal that high!

Ah well… Time to let this goal sleep… Eleven months should be just enough for my back and hands to recover… Ugh.

I’ll try again in 2009.
