It’s funny how a couple years ago I forgot all about her birthday and wished her a happy one 38 weeks late. I’m not about to forget her birthday again even though she says she tries not to pay attention to them. I’ve left her messages to come get her wishes, so lets see if she does. Shannon was one of the first people that I marked I wanted to meet, and someday I know that we will meet (though hopefully not during a hospital crisis). Anyway, here are my wishes for her for the coming year:

May she take the time to gather the crap that she wants to purge from her house, price it and then sell it so that she can use the money to help pay down her credit cards. May she always make time for herself, while also being there for her kids as she teaches them how to be empowered and independent. And may she enjoy the doctors and patients that she has to interact with.

Your birthday will stretch beyond its original (and SOOOO passe) 24 hours!
