Prof. Wormwood is an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky!
Got the fabric today from the store. I finished one and am going to finish the other in the morning and mail them both to Morgan’s family in the afternoon. They need to get there by the 17th. No problem. It’s bigger than it looks. They are both great sizes for snuggling up with.

We can’t afford much, but we’re going to pick up a $50 gift card and a few children’s books from Costco for Morgan’s family.

The list didn’t get resent before J left work today, so I will update everyone on Monday when he gets it.

This email was in J’s inbox when he got to work this morning:
“Received a call tonight from our friends at the Children’s Cancer Association that Morgan, our 2 1/2 year old, died today.
The family is obviously under tremendous emotional pain, and I assured them our team would go above and beyond to make sure their family is taken care of this Christmas. I also just found out that Morgan was their natural child, along with one of the others. The remaining 5 are foster children they’ve taken under their care.
(LW) is coordinating the list of what is now needed in light of this horrible news – she will have it out tomorrow so that those of you that would like to help can start purchasing this weekend.
I’m very sorry to deliver this news via an e-mail, but so honored to be part of a team that has shown nothing but amazing grace for helping our adopted family.”
Please spread the word and join this goal/team to at least pray for/send good vibes to the family. If you are able to and would like to, let’s make sure this family is well taken care of this Christmas. Email me at wundergrl21@gmail.com if you would like to know what you can do. To the people that have already emailed me, I’ll send you the updated list as soon as I get it later today.

J’s department has adopted a family through Children’s Cancer Association. This is a family of nine – Morgan is the youngest at 2 1/2. Having a wee one myself, I can’t type this without crying.
Morgan has brain cancer and the doctor’s have given her 90 days to live.
This is the last time that Morgan’s family will be whole for Christmas and they deserve for it to be special. The CCA has provided a wish list for each family member. If you would like to help out in any way, whether through donating an item from the list or contributing a few dollars toward a gift card, please email me (wundergrl21@gmail.com) and I will send you the list and details. I don’t know what the deadline is for this, but I’m going to set one here for Dec. 15th to make sure that the family receives the gifts by Christmas.
I’m going to send a team invite out for this. Please spread the word and join the team, even if it’s just for prayers.
