go to school

Why are there so many hoops that I must jump through? All I want to do is sign up for classes, but I find out that first I should meet with an adviser, but before that I have to go to orientation, and before I go to orientation I have to sign up for orientation, and in order to do that I have to take an assessment test, which obviously implies I have to sign up for said test. Geez Louise!

I’m going to try to take my test next Tuesday. Luckily those AP English classes I took in high school were worth something and I’m exempt from the reading/English assessments… Unluckily that leaves the math test, and I haven’t taken a math class in over a year. I was bad at math before, and now I’m rusty on the skills I DO have. =P Luckily again, I have a boyfriend who is also a math major. XD

This is such a headache.

I have my class schedule for my first Semester! I have two classes a day Monday to Friday. I am on the maximum course load of 19 credits. Here are my courses:

*Pre-Algebra
*Intermediate Spanish I
*General Psychology
*American Government
*English Composition I
*Astronomy

I can’t believe this is finally happening. I am almost there!

Completed orientation. I am currently in the process of registering for classes and paying fees. Everything is looking very good. I also need to get my student id, parking decal then I am all set!

I completed the CPT Test. Next Orientation and Class Scheduling then fee payments :D

Going to take my Computer Placement Test for class placement tomorrow or Tuesday. I already know I am going to need to take a pre-college level math. It’s okay though, as long as I learn what I need to graduate. I will be alright. Classes are filling up too quickly, I need to take the test and get some of my prospective courses.

High school’s been over since last May, and I have to get around to college eventually. =P I took a semester off to travel a little and save some money (which was all spent on aforementioned travel… oops), but now it’s time to get back to the ol’ academic grind and start larnin’ some more. Here’s the plan:

1. Start at community college
2. Go at least the first semester full-time (12 units… easy full-time)
3. Continue taking classes until boyfriend graduates and moves on to grad school, at which point I will follow and go to that school or one nearby
4. Hopefully have some sort of major decided upon and start working on that.
5. Finish.

I have no idea what I really want to do. So community college sounds like a good idea right now.

SO. My goal-within-a-goal-within-a-goal goes like this:

1. Start at community college
a. Meet with an advisor/counselor person
b. Sign up for classes

Cool… Better get on that.

I received an acceptance letter from my prospective college today. YaY! I will begin school for Spring 2010:D When I begin classes I will mark this as finished.

well now im shooting for september and looking around for all my options and get my finances and my home stable and i guess keep my job going for someone one else to eventually take it over without the chaos….

I am enrolling in a local community college for January. My plan is to begin completing the general education courses required for the completion of a bachelor’s degree. The university I want to transfer to allows automatic transfer admission to students who have completed 15 transferrable credits with an average of 2.0 or better. I want to complete 15 credits in my spring semester and continue completing more of the g.e requirments in the summer semester to earn entrance for Fall of next year.

so i have been reserching my hinnie off about this one. i really do want to get my ass going and out of this mindless shit job i am in. the more stuff the dump on me the more i want it even more..

so here is a plan

1. consolidate all outstanding debts
2.make sure i have the program i want
3.try again to make another apointment to see intake person at the shcool
4.keep checking resourse sites to see if the program i want to take is honored in the field
5.ask poeple i know who took the course i want and the luck they have hand finding a job.

i will give my self a month for this one

so its now september 21st. so october 21st i will do a reporting back.
