Ceekins New Week = New Start!!! <3

Anxious 1 month ago

About this one. I’ve never done any sort of food fasting (unless you consider vegetarianism “meat fasting”) so I’m a little bit nervous about how my body will handle it but I’ve heard it’s very very good for you. The length can very but I’m going to aim for 3 days since doctors consider 5 days to be the max. amount for this sort of thing. I’m going to do this right after Christmas/New Years too since that’s when I’ll be stuffing my face the most haha

I went on a 5 day fast a month ago, but I want to try it again, but longer. I did not experience much of the benefits of fasting. I did lose 7 pounds, but gained 2 back. I want to get the full detox benefits of juice fasting. I want to go at least 10 days, but continue to 30 if I feel up to it.

Day four 9 months ago

Well, I didn’t last long with out food, but I realized I wasn’t hungry, I mostly ate because when I’m at work I’m surrounded by food. I did the sane thing and stuck to raw veggies but not eating a juicing gives me a sense of control, I honestly might pursue it more long term.
I have been having bad blow outs since I’ve been taking these pills, I’m guessing it’s what’s built up in my colon.

day one-ish. 9 months ago

I’m doing somewhat a colon cleanse while fasting. So, in order to not die I’m juicing and only drinking liquids. I’m also taking pills designed to move the colon forward.
I’m not sure if I should count this as day one since I ate some natural protien bars. I couldn’t help it though, I work in a resturaunt and I needed ANYTHING to keep my from pigging out. I got through it though without a single bite.
I didn’t have a BM once today though, I’m figuring because my body’s a bit shocked at my behavior haha so maybe tomorrow?
I would also put this under my “healthier lifestyle” goal, since I am doing this partly to lose weight/gain self control/clear skin.

10th and Last Day 9 months ago

The second half of this fast has been pretty uneventful and surprisingly easy. The boys have managed to hang with me… my husband is one day behind me and my stepson is two days behind. They only intended on doing this for one week. But, we decided today would be the day. We will start our descent back into whole foods this afternoon with some fruit and vegetables. We’ll do the same tomorrow and then eat some meat on Friday.

My weight went up 0.8 lbs one day and then dropped 1.2 the next. I dropped another 0.4 lbs yesterday for a total of a 7.6 pound loss. My husband is the lowest he has ever been (since I’ve known him anyway) weighing in at 212 pounds (6’0 frame – very muscular!). He looks fantastic! We’re going to make a few small changes to the diet… cutting out sugar, swapping out the white rice for brown and adding one fruit/vegetable juice a day. It’s not dramatic but I think it will help keep our weight down.

After 5 days 9 months ago

I dropped another 1.6 lbs for a total of 6.4 lbs so far. I did the Master Cleanse at this time last year and only lost a total of 5 lbs after two weeks. That was torture!

I feel good, I sleep well and not eating solid foods hasn’t really made me too crazy… yet. My husband, on the other hand, thinks (and talks) about food constantly! He’s been on this for 4 days now.

I also feel pretty calm. You would think not eating would make me feel agitated all the time, but I’m not!

After 4 days 9 months ago

I dropped 3.6 pounds the first two days and 1.2 pounds the second two days. I started my period a couple days ago and it has been rough!

This is usually considered to be TMI but I think it’s relevant here; I have had a significant BM every day this week… two of them today! I guess it’s true that you carry around about 10lbs of crap in your intestines.

One thing I’ve noticed is this persistent rash that has been on my face for the past two months seems to be disappearing for good.

Also, I have decided to take a break from exercise while on this fast… mostly because I feel that my body needs a rest, especially my knees. And it seems to be doing me a lot of good. My knees are feeling great right now.

Day 3 10 months ago

I have dropped another 1.5 pounds and a half percent of body fat. I am a little amazed by this because I’ve been a pretty serious gym rat for the past 8 months, doing the P90X program among other things, and for all that my overall change in weight has been a gain of 1 pound… it 8 months!!!

I have been bracing myself for the detox “storm” but it has not really hit me yet. I took 2 more Excedrin last night, maybe I’m just postponing the pain by taking those. I did feel good during the day though! There was a distinct spring in my step.

My husband looked horrible when he got home from work and my stepson ended up having a few beers with a friend last night so I think he will be starting over today.

Day 2 10 months ago

Yesterday was not as bad as I thought it would be. I felt a headache coming on last night but I just took some Excedrin and went to bed. I dropped 2 pounds, and a half a percentage of body fat. That was very surprising!

My husband and stepson will be joining me today so I need to run out and get some supplies for this morning’s breakfast.

Day 1 10 months ago

I know this won’t be easy but I’m ready to start a juice fast. I hope my husband will join me for this because I don’t really want to do it alone. I would like to go for at least 14 days and if I’m feeling good, maybe 30. They say the best detox happens around the 30 day mark.

I’m following tips and using recipes from Freedom You website.
