David died a few weeks after I got him. He had ick all over him. When I look back on it, I was so inexperienced. I should’ve had a filtered fish tank, changed his water frequently, and kept him in a cool place.
My other friend got me my second fish. I was hesitant at first since my first pet died and I was afraid that this one would too. It’s been several weeks now since I got him and I still have yet to name this one. I’d like to name him after his pretty blue color.

My favorites Pets are the dogs, but the cats are very cutes. A Ferret could be a good exotic choice.

Yes, animals are wonderful, living creatures. And if you have the time and money and place for one there are a plethora of choices out there. I would hope that no body on 43 Things would get an animal just to fulfill an entry on the internet. But, our animal shelters and streets are filled with animals that have been abandoned, abused, and just neglected. If you are ready I would hope you would look at your local animal shelter or rescue society first when selecting your pet.
I am just speaking for those that can’t. Peace.

I’ve managed to foster a few kittens when space is at a premium at the local cat shelter. It’s a good deal for everyone. I keep them for a few weeks while they learn how to be held, claw furniture and steal food off my plate. When prime real estate at the pet shop (which works with the shelter) opens up, they get a highly visible cage and soon after – a nice family.
While it’s not always easy to give them back, I know I can’t keep them forever and I’m happy to help in some small way by giving them a nice childhood.
My latest tenants are Max, a black kitten, and his sister, Millie, a tortie.

I used to have a hamster then a cat and then a dog. Now I dont have any pet and I wish I were allowed to have one cuz its really boring without one. I love animals so I just can´t bear not having one. I want a hamster for my birthday but I dont think I´ll get it, I´d prefer a dog or a cat but I defenetely know I can´t have one. the least I could ask for is a hamster, so why dont I get it?

In June we got a kitten and named her Drusilla. She is at times the spawn of satan and at other times the most lovable little kitty anyone could hope for.
