...but, I worked on the kilt last night a bit, and will work on it this weekend. Should be able to finish it soon, especially if I sit and ‘watch’ a movie while I work on it.

Also, my skirt arrived- and it is PERFECT for my character. (I secretly like it even though it’s way ‘out there’)

I feel like this is starting to come together. I hope to have a lot to report soon… like having it all done would be awesome! 4 years ago

I started the Sporin last night. I should be able to easily finish that tonight, as well as the tam and hopefully get a good start on the kilt. Everything that’s left is little… I think I did it that way on purpose. I’m pretty smart sometimes! :)

My goal: to have all the costumes done by the weekend! Then I can hammer out my lines and practice ad libbing until I’m more comfortable with it.

Now if I could only think of something to keep Drew happily occupied during rehearsals… we’re doing two a week now, so it’s going to be tricky! 4 years ago

on my lunch, I finished the second shamrock, and worked on one of the hems- now I’d say I’m at about 45%.

I also worked a bit on the veil and am at about 22% (boy, aren’t I accurate?!)

More work to come tonight… so, here’s my goal:
by tonight, I want to be past 50% on the stole, and around 50% on the veil. Then by this weekend, I want to have the stole finished, and the veil finished, and start work on something else. 4 years ago

this morning I came very close to finishing the 2nd shamrock! I have 1 1/2 hours for my lunch today because I’m working a half hour later than usual, so I hope to report some major progress later! 4 years ago

Well, today I took a vacation day from work so the guys could see what was wrong with our boiler… so, I got a lot of costume work done!!

The priest’s stole: I did one of the shamrocks, and am about 1/2 way done with the other, plus I ironed the hems, and even started stitching one of the hems. I’d say I’m about 40% done with it now!

The veil: I ironed that, too, so it would lay nicer for me while I sewed. I also did some of the sewing and pinning on it. I’d say I’m about 20% done with it.

Tomorrow I’ll be at work early because hubby has an early meeting and we carpool, so I will work on them and see how much I can get done before our rehearsal tomorrow night. 4 years ago

Now I’d say I’m up to about 10% done with the stole. And I have all day tomorrow to work on whatever I need to/want to! 4 years ago

On my lunch break, I started to sew the sequins on the priest’s stole. It’s a little slow-going, but it really looks good! I’ll just keep plugging away at these and see how much I can get done by Thursday’s rehearsal. If my sewing machine was working, I could zip through the hemming, but I may have to do that by hand. Which is probably just as well because I mostly work on these things at work and after my son goes to bed.

I’d say I’m about 5% done with the veil, and about 2% done with the stole. More to come either tonight or tomorrow… 4 years ago

I am happy to report that although our Thrift Store shopping was an absolute bust… (still need a LARGE ugly Muu-Muu, and LARGE cardigan, plus Kathleen’s eccentric/hippy skirt and top)
Our craft store trip went much better and we think we have everything I need to make the costumes pieces that I have to make.
I started on the funeral veil, and the priest’s stole because I think they’ll take the most time/work. I’m excited to finally be making such progress on these! 4 years ago

I WILL work on Kathleen’s bag tonight even if only for a couple minutes.

We MIGHT go shopping for the rest of the supplies tomorrow. I’d rather go Monday night personally, but I guess weekends are for getting a lot accomplished (and resting- if you ask me!)

I made a necklace that my character might wear, and I started another. I got a lot of supplies rounded up, and I hope to start my character’s huge bag either tonight or tomorrow. 4 years ago

I think we need to make a trip to Salvation Army (but not before Thursday b/c we need to see if the dress and sweater work for Mike or if we need to shop for another option).
