I got an e-mail from Ms. Bryce today. Apparently her internet is down at home and she can’t access 43T at work, so she’s missing the party. I assured her it would be here waiting for her when she got here, so she needn’t worry.
She also had some disappointing news. Her move to Canada has been postponed because of delays in her Visa application. :-(

I looked for an image that would encompass all these wonderful events in your life, Ms. Bryce, but I’ve had to settle on a generic one. In navigating all these major life changes at once, you are proving yourself magnificently strong! May you savor your accomplishments, enjoy turning 30, have safe travels, & enjoy putting down roots in your new Canadian life with Mr. Wonderful.
Huzzah!

Happy Birthday

What a truly amazing woman Bryce is. Over the last three years she has accomplished so many things, and done so with such positive energy. She is competent and confident. She has such a strong sense of self, and values not only her own self-worth but that of those around her as well. She would be a wonderful role model to young women everywhere, showing that you can accomplish your career goals while not sacrificing family. I am so happy that I’ve gotten to know her here, and I wish her such happiness in the years to come especially once she’s able to relocate to Calgary in ten days. Here are my wishes for her for the coming year:
May she find a Church in Calgary that she and her husband feel comfortable and accepted in so that they find friends with similar interests. May she continue to advance in her running, so that she not only can run a 5K in less than 30 minutes but will also be able to run a 10k. And may she realize that she has made a difference in the world by setting an example for those around her, for changing even one person’s outlook is making a difference.
