I’m naturally very dark.
I’ve gone to my salon and had my hair lightened, at the moment its a light brown with some blonde highlights, AND VERY DARK ROOTS lol.
I want to go back again and have it lightened further. I’m quite scared now, I don’t think it will suit me anymore. But it is something I have to try, unless I want to be 80 going blonde lol.

How I did it: It took three bleach kits because my ends refused to be anything but stubborn orange. Then when it was light enough I put on lightest ash blonde. It didn't take the last bit of orange out though, so I put on medium ash blonde & it turned out good. The color's not fabulous, but I think some of the ash color will fade out, and if not, I'll just lighten it up a bit. It too too much effort to change it from blonde now! Read how I did it…

How I did it: I just got this done. I basically got bored of the light brown/golden blond hair that you see pictured, so did a non permanent dark brown from a bottle. It looked amazing, so when it had almost faded out I went to the hairdresser to get some permanent dark color in my hair in the form of lowlights to keep it natural looking. I didn't like it. I was nearing the end of my brunette phase anyway, but I felt washed out and had that yellowy loo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I first went to my friend, who just got out of beauty school. She ended up using bleach on all of my hair, and it came out yellowish. It was not what I wanted, so I went to a salon. The lady there did what I wanted, but the lighter blonde was a little chunky. I wanted a more even blonde, with some lowlights woven through. I just went to a third lady, and she did what I wanted. I now have a more even all-over blonde! Read how I did it…
stelfoxy is wanting to go out :(
How I did it: i had black hair but really wanted to go blonde so i bought about 8 bleaching kits and 4 hairt dyes and every 3 weeks i bleached it twice and dyed it and in between i deep conditioned it leaving the conditioner on for an hour each night , it was really hard to do and it makes your hair frizzley and it can go weird colours at first but it was worth it :D Read how I did it…

How I did it: I didn't go all-out, partially because my hair is naturally "dirty blonde", but I got "heavy highlights." right now, it's lighter all over, but the more I do it, the lighter it'll be. My mom has done it for years and I finally decided to do it. Read how I did it…

It’s not me at all. I’m part latin, and thought that if I got my light brown hair “highlighted” with shades of brown and dark brown, that I would feel more latina. What a lesson: don’t try to be something you are not! It’s not that it looks bad: my mom thinks it looks nice, but I’m convinced it has a yellowy tinge a la Mandy Moore / Scarlett Johansson when they went from light to dark. I think it makes me look drab and boring, not to mention washed out, instead of being the rich chocolately latina brown I imagined.
Blonde just works better on me. I’m giving it a month, and then I’m going to get caramel/honey highlights done. That suits me best, as I have a warm skintone, similar to Jennifer Aniston.
I guess I need to accept that I can be latina and be blonde. I just wish other people could accept that too. I’m tired of people looking surprised/disbelieving when I tell them my ethnicity is Irish/English/Puerto Rican/Spanish. Society, eh?
I have always wanted to be a blonde. But something has always stopped me. The fact it will cost a load to get it done properly. If I did it myself it may go green. It may look wierd with my olive skin and dark eyebrows. So if I do it, and dont like it. I can dye over it…right? I dont want to look like a barbie or anything. I just want a change. Maybe see if blonde’s have more fun. So when I get paid, I will go to the hairdressers and tell them to give me a chock-load of bleach or how ever the heck they plan to get down with it. I may actually like it.

I already bought dye, but I have to wait until I have a free night next week. AP tests suck. . .
I have been bleached blonde (to some degree) since I was in high school. I cannot wait to get the hell out of the Sinai (for numerous reasons) and fix my hair! My hair color is horrible and I need my stylist!
already highlighted my hair twice, it is blonde but not as blonde i want it to be so with regular intervals ( 2 months) i’ll keep going til im happy with the colour. my next visit is tomorrow, wish me luck!
. . .would be one word that describes my experience.
I’ve rocked virgin black tresses throughout my whole life. My mom totally dismissed the idea of dying my hair. At first, I’d stifle my desire to do so by cutting my hair drastically. But alas, it was a temporary solution to an enduring problem.
Honestly, I couldn’t imagine myself blonde. So, I had to see for myself what I’d look like. All in all, it was a very exhilarating experience. Yay for curiosity!

Not sure whether it would suit me though… a few people have told me it would… a few more people have told me it wouldn’t… I’m just curious XD
