But I completed both Day 3.2 and the “Final Exam”!
Week 6, Day 3.2 (I don’t remember now exactly how many I did modified, but I know it was only a few sets)
Pushups: 22, 22, 30, 30, 25, 25, 18, 18, 55
Pushups: 100! (barely, but still I managed to do it!)
All of the final 100 were modified, as was my plan, but I’m going to attempt to stay with the program and eventually get to 100 full pushups. (We’ll see if my body will cooperate lol). 2 years ago
I hurt from pushups yesterday. All across my chest is sore. And all around my shoulder sockets is sore. Armpits included. ouch. 2 years ago
23 (13 full + 10 modified)
I BARELY made it through the last set lol, but after taking momentary pauses I pushed through. Then proceeded to lay on the ground for a few minutes haha. I’m still a little iffy if I’ll be able to pull off all 100 pushups in a few days, but here’s to seeing and trying! 2 years ago
I remembered about doing pushup yesterday as I was climbing into bed. So today I did them as soon as I got home. Here are my sets, with a 45 second break
10, 10, 13, 13 (These 4 sets were full body)
10,10, 9, 26 (These 4 sets were modified)
I think I can, I think I can… I CAN DO IT!!! 2 years ago
Second round at week 6 started today, and boy is level 2 much harder than level 1!!!
Pushups: 40, 50, 25, 25, 50
I did all modified pushups today (seeing as in my exhaustion test for full pushups I managed 35 and the first set was supposed to be 40 pushups lol). Today was hard, I barely made it through the last set, and now my arms feel like jelly as I’m typing this haha. But that’s a good sign right? Means I’m building muscle? LOL2 years ago
17 (full body)
15 (full body) + 5 (modified) = 20 max.
Ick. What happened? I guess I shouldn’t take off so many days in-between. :-X 2 years ago
I did only 35 modified pushups, which puts me at “column 1”... perhaps later today (perhaps tomorrow) these will be my sets:
17, 19, 15, 15, 20. 2 years ago
After a fabulous suggestion, I decided to do an exhaustion test of modified pushups before repeating Week 6 at Level 2 to see just how far I’ve come. And boy let me say I shocked even myself!
Even being modified pushups I never ever in my life thought I’d ever be able to do that! Holy heck I’m proud of myself. I guess this may just be possible after all! 2 years ago
Pushups: 13, 13, 17, 17, 16, 16, 14, 14, 50
I only did the first two sets as full pushups, but it was early Monday morning after a long fun-filled Sunday, so I’m fine with that. Plus 50 modified pushups in a row is so much more than I ever thought I’d be able to accomplish! I’m planning on repeating Week 6 again at Level 2 to gain a little more strength before I attempt 100 pushups. So hopefully one more official week… 2 years ago
Laziness + a blood donation made me get a little behind again. Friday night, I had a pushup contest with some manly men. I did 30 pushups (full body, though not very deep or best form) just to beat their high of 27. ;-) RK’s desire to do more pushups whipped my butt back into gear.
23, 28, 23, 23, 35. Woot Woot. At minimum, I have two more weeks. Let’s hope that I stay on track this time. 2 years ago
Pushups: 14, 14, 15, 15, 14, 14, 10, 10, 44
Total pushups to date: 2256!
Today I was able to do all but the last 14 pushups as full pushups. Go me! I can definitely tell that I’m much stronger than I was and it feels fantastic! 2 years ago
Push ups: 25, 30, 20, 15, 40
I did full pushups for the first two sets, and modified for the remaining. At this point I think I’m planning on repeating week 6 at level 2 before I attempt to complete the 100 consecutive pushups. That leaves me with just 5 more sessions before the big test! I’m still not entirely confident that I’ll be able to finish all 100, but that’s not as important to me as actually getting myself a hint of arm muscle! 2 years ago
Pushups: 18, 18, 20, 20, 17, 17, 20, 45
I did more modified pushups yesterday than previously, but I’m ok with that. When I took my exhaustion test, I was bumped down to level 1 again for week 6, so I’m thinking I may need to do two weeks of week 6 before I attempt the “final exam” of 100 consecutive pushups. I’m still trying to focus on doing good form pushups and pushing myself to do as many full pushups as I can handle before switching to modified pushups.
I can definitely tell that I’m gaining muscle in my arms (although I’m not losing this flab which is a bit disappointing! LOL). The other day my boyfriend had me make an arm muscle and was surprised that there was something actually there! He always used to joke with me that there was a little bit of muscles buried in there, but now he “didn’t have to pretend anymore” (his exact words haha). 2 years ago
Pushups: 18, 18, 20, 20, 14, 14, 16, 40
I’m still trying to do some of the pushups as full pushups and then rest as modified pushups. The first 4 sets I managed full pushups then switched to modified for the rest. I had trouble getting motivated, but I’m glad I making myself stick with this!
I’ve also decided that when I do the official “final exam” of 100 consecutive pushups, I’m definitely doing modified pushups, no need to kill myself! I think even 100 modified pushups will be extremely difficult and something definitely worth being proud of! 2 years ago
Pushups done very early this morning, right after my sun sal.

I just downloaded the 43T app for my phone, and while it has no features that let you interact with the community (the whole reason I never bothered with it before) it does let you write entries on the go. I have had zero time the past few days with my upcoming giant test this afternoon so I thought I’d give it a shot.
Speaking of my giant test, I was supposed to complete Week 5, Day 2 yesterday but allowed myself a day off. I needed the time to study, and also my wrist is acting up a bit. I’m not overly concerned (it randomly does this a lot) but I’m hoping a rest will be good for my sanity, my chance of passing, and my wrist haha. Hopefully I’ll get back to it tonight or tomorrow! 2 years ago
Ok, here we go again.
18, 22, 16, 16, 25
Week 4 Day 2 is tomorrow. :) I’m determined. I can do it.
just don’t be lazy!!2 years ago
So I’ve been bad and haven’t updated this goal in a week! I’ve also been somewhat bad with actually performing the goal as well… I’ve had a crazy couple of weeks, which should slow down slightly after Thursday, so I’m proud of myself that even though I pushed a few days back I still managed to make myself do the pushups eventually!
I also think I’m probably going to have to do most of the rest of my pushups as modified pushups, I just don’t seem to have arm muscles! I’m still going to attempt each day with full pushups and push myself as far as I think I can before I switch over.
Week 5, Day 2.2
Pushups: 18, 18, 20, 20 12, 12, 16, 40
Week 5, Day 3.2
Pushups: 18, 18, 20, 20 , 17, 17, 20, 40
I’m hoping that the third time is the charm with Week 5. This time I skipped the exhaustion test and just put in a number that would keep me at level 2 again. So hopefully this will be the last time I’ll have to repeat this week! haha
Week 5, Day 1.3
Pushups: 28, 35, 25, 22, 35 2 years ago
Somehwere between the computer and the floor, my resolve always fails me.

has it already been 4 days since my last pushups?? In my defense, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were a whole bizarre mass of sickness. No way was I going to muster up the energy to do anything.
Hopefully I’ll be able to push myself tonight to do my pushups. And I think it’s officially time to drop down to modified permanently. I have no shame in that! :) Pushups is pushups!
Hopefully tonight my count will be: 20,25, 20, 20, 28 2 years ago
Pushups: 28, 35, 25, 22, 35
Total Cumulative: 1166
I did another exhaustion test before repeating week 5 and as such it bumped me up from level 1 to level 2. Almost died haha. I have to admit that the second half of the last two sets I had to do modified pushups, and even then I struggled. I’m thinking I may need to repeat week 5 at level 2 before moving on to the final week. My strength improvement just doesn’t seem to be catching up with the expectations of the last two weeks of this program. But I’m ok with that, I’m certainly not going to kill myself because I want to actually gain muscle not hurt myself. 2 years ago
I’m back to pushups…
THANK YOU! For continuing to write about how awesome you are doing!! I was so motivated up until the end of week 3. And even at that, I would end up with two or three days between pushups because I was tired by the time I remembered at the end of the day. I’m starting up with week four (where I should really be on week 5 or 6 by now!!)
Week 4, Day 1: 18, 22, 16, 16, 25 2 years ago
Pushups: 13, 13, 15, 15, 12, 12, 10, 15
Total Cumulative Pushups: 1021
I’m definitely glad that I decided to repeat week 5, seeing as day 3 was supposed to end with a set of 30 pushups…yes that’s right I only managed half the set! But I can tell I’m getting stronger, so I don’t mind sticking the program out for longer! Plus my real goal with this challenge, was not necessarily to complete 100 consecutive pushups, but just to improve my upper body strength (and get rid of the underarm fat that I notice on myself! lol) 2 years ago
