um_okay just... okay.
i went darker so im going to count this as goal completed. i loved it. then it faded like a week later… so ill have to do it again. im willing to take some hair risks now. :)
How I did it: I have been blond all my life, decided to dye my hair in 2003 and I got Andreas to do it even if he didnt want to, he was scared that I was going to get mad if it didnt turn out good. And he was right ;) But then I got use to it. Miss my blond colour sometimes and one day I will get it back

At least for now I am giving up on this goal… I just dyed my hair red (again) and I LOVE it.
They might say that blondes have more fun but I have the most fun being a redhead – I feel sassy and confident. If you’re a redhead, you’re going to get noticed. I love being a redhead because you turn heads just by walking in a room.
So, I give up on this goal but I don’t consider it a defeat. I think that I wanted to be a blonde to feel fun and sexy but I already feel those things and even more as a redhead!
It’s a personal preference. If you want to go blonde, do it. For me, it was not a great choice. Not everyone looks great as a blonde. I didnt look bad, really, just very unnatural. I have had many different hair colors…some accidental, most were intentional, and I don’t regret trying life as a blonde, but I wouldnt do it again. it’s too much upkeep (my hair grows really fast and i can’t stand having dark roots) and it’s not really good for your hair. My hair went from dark brown to lighter brown, to redish brown, to reddish blonde to brassy blonde, to white blonde, i then had to dye my white hair to a shade of blonde that i liked using a boxed dye. Just realize that those color codes on the backs of boxes are not absolute.
It might take a few boxes of dye, a few bottles of peroxide and then you’ll need to trim your hair because this will break and damage the ends.
Blonde does not wash out… bleaching (including highlighting) wont fade away leaving your natural hair color behind when it’s gone. artificially Blonde hair is from bleaching (stripping your hair). So, once you go blonde, if you want to go back to your natural color you have to try to dye it back to your natural color or let it grow out… (which means you’ll have two tone hair for however long it takes).
Again, if you want to do it and arent afraid of the unknown, go for it. But, if you have really dark hair naturally, be prepared to work to get your hair blonde. then it’s just as hard to match your own haircolor if you want to go back to “normal.”
if it makes you happy, go for it. It’s just hair, it will grow back.
