go for a spa weekend

I finally quit my job for a better one, and took some vacation time in between. I drove up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and had a spa retreat by myself for a few days. The scenery was wonderful, the resort was so inviting, and the spa treatment was incredible. I’m still reminiscing about it. The smell of lavender, which was used for the scrub and hot stone massage, still evokes that totally relaxed and calm feeling.

I’ve been thinking about doing this soon, as an escape from a cold Connecticut winter. A little pricey, though. That’s what’s holding me back. Thought I had the money, and then the car tax came around. Ouch!
