I’ve loved to sing every since I was little. I’ve been in choir since middle school on and off. I don’t want to sound egotistic, but I have a good voice. I mean, not fantastic or groundbreaking and I know my limits, but still a good voice.
I’ve sang in public before. A few times I’ve had solo’s in choir. When my high school choir sang in Disneyland I had a solo in Mama, I’m a Big Girl Now, and I did a duet of Don’t Cry for Me Argentina with a friend of mine in my senior year for the school music program’s winter fundraising event.
The thing is, I’ve never done it independently. Some day, I want to go out and sing in public and make it happen on my own. And by independently I don’t even necessarily mean “solo”. Just that, I make it happen myself.
Singing/music is usually the thing that gets pushed out of my life when other things are more important, and that’s sad. I am passionate about it and I want to learn how to fit it into my life better.
