The lady before me at the counter had not enough money, so I paid for her apple.

She was in trouble at work, as she does not know English, and has to answer in this language to a customer.
In a few moments, in spite of my very busy moment at my job, I could help her.
I use a scooter for my daily moves, so it is easy for me reaching different places while I caming back from work to home.
Yesterday I pick theatre ticket for a friend of mine and her mum, otherwise she had to spend more than 1 hour in the traffic to do this.
Like many people who live in an apartment I have use to use a laundry facility. Just recently I decided to live at least $1.00 of quarters for someone else after I do my laundry it’s small gift but saves some a dollar.
puk I'm in the red for you
This December I’ve been preparing little surprises for a girl I look very much up to. We’ve been getting closer the last months, and I really wanted to do this because she’s exactly the person who understands and appreciates it. I’ve left her little, anonymous notes and drawings and a rather creative heart with song lyrics on it. Unfortunately she discovered me as the “sender” of the heart, but I don’t know if she’s figured out the puzzle yet – I hope not, I want to keep it going for just one more week..
puk I'm in the red for you
Oh, oh, oh.
I did something great yesterday: I sent a girl I’ve talked to online a ticket to a gig with a band we both adore. I went to a concert with them this Saturday where a stranger (!) handed me a free ticket for a concert of theirs in the capital city this Thursday – but I live too far away to go. A. got the ticket instead. It made her so happy!
puk I'm in the red for you
These days I’m planning to be secret santa for a girl I admire so much and whom I have just starting getting closer to. I suppose it’s not random since I’m planning it – random would be just doing it out of the blue to strangers, right?
Like letting someone have your seat in the bus, share your cake or cocoa with the one next to you in school, drawing someone something out of the blue – like I did a small drawing of Ida and Christian today. And Carina reminded me I’d done the exact same thing for her once!
I’m good at giving hugs.
1) I was on the train from the airport into downtown Portland when I noticed a young woman looking rather worried. I could tell she was a little confused and concerned about where she was going. I grabbed a bus map, sat down next to her, and asked if I could help. Within a few minutes, we’d figured out she could ride the train to the end of the line, get off, and catch a different one to where she needed to go. I could tell she was relieved to know she hadn’t missed her stop!
2) I was asked for spare change by a homeless person while eating my lunch in the park. Rather than give change (I don’t like to give money, since you never know what they’ll use it for) I offered what was left of my sandwich, as I was done and didn’t really want to throw the substantial leftovers in the trash. He gratefully accepted.
Like many other people, I put off getting Mom flowers for Mothers day, and had to go to the florist the day before for some tulips.
The people working there were not doing too well, although they were trying to be friendly and helpful.. it was just super busy, with lots of frantic and annoyed people. Bad energy! Not to mention, but it was really hot outside, and very hot in the florist shop.
I commented on how busy they were at the cashier, trying to give the cashier a chance to vent a bit, and she looked really tired. I mentioned that it was really hot, and she replied “Sure is, I could really use an iced coffee”.
Walking out of the store, I decided I was going to go to the Starbucks around the corner and get her one. While I was waiting in line, I thought that it might be unfair to only buy for one, so I bought 10 large iced coffees, with a container of half and half on the side, and lots of sugar/Splenda packets.
When I went back into the florist, I walked up to the counter, sat the coffees down, and told them I wished them luck the rest of the day. Everybody was psyched, and couldn’t believe that someone could do something so nice. I just told them that it really wasn’t a big deal (it wasn’t), and that I appreciated all their hard work.
The coffees cost 35.00, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was well worth it.
Sometimes all it takes is for someone to know they are appreciated, to give them a little lift.
Spread the love!
So a cupple days ago I was at the gas station pumpping when I looked over and on the ground was a $50.00 dollar bill and without any hesitation I marched it streight into the clerk. well she just looked at me kinda funny and said why are you bringing it to me? Well I looked at her kinda funny and said why wouldent I it wasnt mine! At that very moment a woman comes into the store crying and saying franticly I’ve lost my money it’s all I have have you seen a $50.00 laying around or has anyone turned one in! I smiled at her and was so thrilled to say why yes I have, took back the money from the clerk and placed it in the hands of a frantic but blessed woman. then I invited them both to church. Glory to God on high!
