to have reached a bit of a plateau with this! Must try harder! More water, less bread (bread means butter or worse, cheese spread), less chocolate, more exercise.
It’s not rocket science. It’s will power. Which, as every person of intelligence knows, is far more difficult to manage!

Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve just done the Rosemary Conley workout! The music is pure eighties and dear old Rosemary is so charmingly understated that I can’t help but love it! It puts those ghastly American celebrity workouts to shame! This is what people need – a routine they can actually do, lots of repetition of steps so you have chance to get the hang of them, without the inane babble which will make viewers want to slit their own throats with a bread knife the third time they watch it.

I’ve been doing yoga much more recently lately, spurred on by this goal and YG’s bikram exploits, and have started doing the morning walk again. Now, if I don’t do either of those, I simply can’t get down to work – I feel pent up and irritable. I wonder if I felt like that, in a chronic way, in the months before Christmas, without even noticing it? I think a lot of it is having time to mentally calm down, but I genuinely do feel an excess of energy in my body if I miss my routine one morning.
I don’t know if it’s helping with the weightloss, but it’s certainly helping with me.

to put up a weight loss goal, as there are more important things in life, but the sad fact is that since I moved in with K I’ve put on 5 kilos!! I can’t put on 5 kilos every six months – that’s almost two stone a year!
So I suppose this goal is about paying more attention to what (and when) I eat – K’s a bugger for late night chocolate – and not just eating everything that he does. He is a man, after all, and we always joke about him having some sort of tapeworm inside him because he could eat for hours and hours at a time and never put on weight. So I need to go back to eating the same servings as I did when I lived alone, which were probably about 30% smaller, now that I think about it!
And more exercise. Obviously, we can’t be having enough sex! I shall bring that up at the next family meeting!
