and so easy. One flock of geese comin’ right up.
This is what I gave to my family “secret santa” for Christmas (one flock of chicks and a share in a pig). Fantastic organization.

I spread this idea around a few years ago and this year my aunt gave my mom a goat for Christmas! I love this idea. We don’t need more stuff and we buy everything we want or need anyway. Plus, the gift-er gets a nice deduction for tax season… You don’t get that with a tacky sweater.

Even a small donation will bring actual gifts to people around the world who need a helping hand. A flock of ducks or geese is only $20, and a flock will provide both income and nutrition to families while their droppings fertilize the gardens. They even help control insects. Entire communities end up being benefited by a single gift.
A gift of trees not only brings hope for sustainable development to parts of the world that have been devastated by war – this gift helps bring peace as neighbors who had been enemies unite in a common goal of becoming self sustaining.
