Since being introduced to Buddhism, I really want to keep a journal to help me focus and eliminate my dukkha. I want to have something concrete so I can write something that I read about but want to meditate on later, or somewhere to write down techniques that I want to try, or anything else.

I’ve been doing this for almost a week now. Journaling has really helped me get in touch with myself again. It’s helping me to center and find my focus. It gives me an outlet to analyze and dissect the things in my life to my heart’s content which is very therapeutic. I’m not going to mark this as done until I’ve kept it up for a little while. I still have to prove to myself that I’m going to stick with it.

I’ve never kept a journal, but I want to start carrying a notebook so that I can describe anything I see. On a beautiful day, or when I meet an awesome person, I feel like I have a lot to write about. Situations, classes, whatever. I am determined to just start carrying a composition notebook.

I kept a journal all the way through high school – and then threw it out because I was so embarrased by the majoriy of things I had written! However, I want to start writing one again because I don’t want to forget all the times I’ve had good and bad

i’ve had diaries before, but they were from when i was younger. and now that i’m older i can write about better things, worth reading when i’m old and crippled [hopefully i won’t be crippled tho] so yeah…i’m just having trouble figuring out what to write about. but i plan to do this my whole life.

i always had diaries when i was little, but my friends always found them, so i eventually stopped. now that i’m older, i’ve just started my second journal. i’m kinda strange, because i name my journals, but then i feel like i’m actually telling somebody something. i love to journal. i take my journal [named Rosie because she’s pink] everywhere with me.

I used to not write at ALL, and as a result i was a terrible writer.
i started writing every night about my day, it helped me unwind, relax and now i am a much better writer! I actually have become quite the addict…
