Besides the occasional witnessing of a drug deal and frequently watching people steal produce from Walmart, I saw an employee exitting a pizza place with a big wad of money. I didn’t initially realize I was watching a robbery in progress, but when the manager was chasing the kid, yelling, and standing in front of the kid’s car I figured it out. I did what every brave woman should do. I hightailed it out of the area as quickly as possible. I thought: That ass may get himself killed and I don’t want to witness that. He should be calling the police instead of standing in front of a moving vehicle. I’m not going to get myself killed too. (Incidentally, I know the guy didn’t get killed cause I watched the kid stop the car before I got out of there).

I was walking home one late night when from a distance I saw a building shoot flames out of the window. A second later, some young guys were running out, yipping and hollering with joy and casually walking away from their deed. The nearest phone for me to use was in a stripper bar, only in the doorway though and I called 911.
Another was one early morning when I woke up and looked out my window to see two guys breaking into a retail store and pulling out some clothes. I finally had the nerve to dial 911 and then see the police tidy up the scene long after the burglars left it.
Another night, I overheard some noise so I looked out my window to see a man and a woman in a car. The woman was struggling to get out but the guy wouldn’t let her out. He was assaulting her then tossed her out. She was crying and yelling for someone to help her. I did nothing.
