swim with whales

This goal is now filed elsewhere on my list.

They have companies that do this all the time! I want to do this so bad! I can’t even imagine being in the water and seeing something that big near you!

Well, they weren’t in the wild, but it was still amazing!
...My 18th birthday present: swimming with beluga whales.

First off, it’s amazing…who cares if it’s indoors.
Secondly, everyone in the world should do this because it’s a great opportunity. How many people get to swim with belugas?

Seaworld is brilliant :] They make me pretty dang happy.
What they do is they take you behind the scenes to where they keep harbor seals and the beluga whales…I was privileged to see the newborn harbor seal pup which was amazing! You see how they feed the animals and where they prepare the food, then you get to go out into the beluga habitat. You sit on the side and learn about the whales, feed them, scratch their tongue and such…then if the trainers are comfortable, and you are too, you go for a little dip :] It was so awesome.

The water is around 50 degrees though, I should warn you. But you get a super sleek and sexy wet suit to look super sleek and sexy in.

I didn’t even know I COULD go swimming with whales, until I stumbled across a website yesterday which advertised different excursions… All I can say from looking at the pics is “wow”.
It looks absolutley amazing, and I will DEFINITELY be doing it before I die!

I love to swim. I had a dream about swimming with a whale. She was beautiful. I swam underneath her huge, graceful form. The dream was so moving, I’ve wanted to do it ever since.

If I had to chose to be an animal, I would be a whale. They are so beautiful and look so graceful – I imagine it would be wonderful to swim in the vastness of the ocean. The next best thing would be to swim with them, but I’d love to touch one – to become buddies with one. Yes I know I’m dreaming. So I’ll just have to go and swim with them.

There must’ve been over 40 when we were there. This one place I snorkelled with one for almost an hour! What a workout :D

Such stunning creatures…

Not to mention all the times surfing with real whales near Kleinmond in the Western Cape, South Africa…

I have watched whales from boats and they seem curious in that they will often come closer. I’d like to get really close. I may have to go to Tonga unless I can find a place in Australia.
